Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat

Begin your journey in Muscat, Oman’s charming capital known for its blend of modern elegance and traditional Omani culture.
Arrive at Muscat International Airport. Muscat Airport is connected to the rest of the world by multiple airlines like Oman Air, Salam Air, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines, Etihad Airways, British Airways, Lufthansa, Air India, KLM, Swiss International Airlines, Flydubai, Gulf Air, and Saudia, among others

In Muscat Airport, you’ll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Spend the evening settling in, relaxing, and exploring local markets or cafes nearby.

Day 2: Muscat - Bimmah Sinkhole - Wadi Shab - Sur

Explore Oman’s coastal wonders on a scenic drive down the coast, including natural pools, historic sites, and coastal towns.

Bimmah Sinkhole: Start with a visit to the stunning Bimmah Sinkhole, known for its turquoise waters, a great place for a refreshing dip or photos.

Wadi Shab: Hike through Wadi Shab’s striking canyon landscapes, leading to hidden pools and waterfalls. Take a swim and enjoy the serene natural beauty of this popular wadi.

Sur: Arrive in Sur, a historic coastal town. Visit the Dhow Factory to see traditional boat-building techniques.

Al Ayjah Lighthouse, which provides panoramic views of the coastline and Sur old town.

Turtle Watching at Ras Al Jinz: Enjoy a night tour at the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, where you can witness sea turtles nesting and hatching on the beach.

Day 3: Discover Beaches along Sur to Duqm Coastal Highway

The Sur to Duqm Coastal Highway is one of Oman’s most scenic drives, taking you along the rugged coastline of the Arabian Sea and through some of the country’s most beautiful landscapes. Starting from Sur, this route offers a mix of coastal views, small fishing villages, pristine beaches, and geological wonders.

Further down, the drive passes through traditional villages like Mahut, where you can see traditional Omani life and the hospitality of the local communities. 

If you have an additional day, a visit to Bar Al Hikman with a night stay is highly recommended. You can also go to Masirah Island, with a ferry subject to the additional day. 

Khaluf is a hidden gem along the Sur to Duqm coastal highway, known for its unique landscape and pristine, white sand beaches. Located about halfway between Sur and Duqm, Khaluf offers a quiet and surreal escape from the more developed areas. 

The Sugar Dunes of Khaluf are the area’s main attraction, with soft, almost snow-white sands that form rolling dunes along the coast. The contrast of the white dunes against the turquoise sea creates a breathtaking and almost otherworldly scene that’s perfect for photography, off-road exploration, or just relaxing by the water.

Nearing Duqm, the landscape becomes more barren, with desert meeting the sea in a stunning contrast.

Day 4: Duqm to Ash Shuwaymiyyah Coastal Highway

he famous Duqm Rock Garden, a unique area filled with fascinating rock formations sculpted by the elements over millennia.

The Duqm to Ash Shuwaymiyyah Coastal Highway is a scenic journey through Oman’s untouched landscapes, offering travelers dramatic coastlines, secluded beaches, and geological wonders. Stretching southward along the Arabian Sea, this route provides a blend of desert, cliffs, and turquoise sea views, making it one of Oman’s most spectacular drives.

Ras Madrakah is a beautiful spot worth exploring. It has golden sands bordered by unique black rocks, creating a striking visual contrast against the deep blue waters. It’s a great place to relax, take photos, or even camp.

As you approach Ash Shuwaymiyyah, the landscape transforms into towering limestone cliffs that drop into the sea. These cliffs offer stunning views over the coastline, especially during sunrise or sunset. The cliffs are dotted with caves and offer plenty of exploration opportunities.

Ash Shuwaymiyyah itself is a peaceful fishing village surrounded by dramatic landscapes. The beach here is expansive and ideal for a quiet day by the sea.

Day 5: Ash Shuwaymiyyah to Mirbat Coastal Highway

Form the coastal town of Ash Shuwaymiyyah, travel to Mirbat, an ancient port town rich in history and surrounded by natural beauty. You’ll travel along Oman’s breathtaking coastal route, dotted with natural wonders and scenic views. 

Start at Wadi Al Nakheel (Khor Senaq), where lush palm trees and a serene wadi landscape invite you to relax and take in the beauty of this oasis. 

Next, visit the Natif Waterfall, a seasonal waterfall nestled in rugged mountains, providing a tranquil spot for photos. 

Continuing toward Hasik, enjoy the historical charm and coastal beauty of this fishing village. 

Stop at Fushi Beach, known for its pristine white sands and turquoise waters, perfect for a quick dip or a beach stroll. 

Mirbat Tour: Explore Mirbat’s ancient architecture, including the Mirbat Castle and its old town, famous for its stone houses and merchant history.

Day 6: East Salalah Tour
